Kevin Drum has a post on the Mother Jones website asking whether Obama has broken his first pre-election promise. He reports that the pledge to apply a windfall tax on 'big oil' has disappeared from the Obama team's transition website. The tax was to have been used to assist families in paying heating and cooling bills and reducing energy costs.
