The UK-based Stop the War Coalition and the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) have announced plans for an anti-war demonstration during the April 2009 G20 meeting in London. The demonstration is planned for April 2 and will coincide with what will be President Obama's first visit to the United Kingdom - and most likely Europe.
'This meeting will be a vital opportunity for the most powerful countries in the world to break from the policies of war and neoliberalism that have caused such devestation around the world during the Bush years.'Obama and many of the other leaders expected to meet in London will immediately travel on to the NATO meeting in Strasbourg where further protests are planned.
