'Not a Day Too Soon'

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) have launched a campaign demanding Obama close Guantánamo on Day One of his presidency, ‘not a day too soon’. There was a full-page ad for the campaign in yesterday's edition of the New York Times, and the first in a series of short films has been launched on YouTube. Additionally, a comment piece by ACLU Executive Director, Anthony D. Romero appeared online at the Huffington Post yesterday, and the organisation are holding an online 'Town Hall meeting' in a couple of days to devise a strategy for building pressure on the Obama administration to shut down 'Gitmo'.
